Well, they weren't exactly rumors, more like rumors of rumors.  Well, no, the rumor part is a slight exaggeration.  Okay, I'll be honest, it's a cheap, dispicable publicity stun, but it's not shameless self-promotion because I feel great shame.

Anyway, you're not interested in my "midnight" confession, so I'll continue.  Tired of waiting for some elusive October surprise?  While some of youwere sleeping I launched the midnight release of my new song,"Halloween with Jim Beam," from the CD, "From Buck Owens Blvd to MerleHaggard Drive."  The full version is available at my official web site,but here's a pretty large sample:
