Lyric Today/Hear it Tomorrow: Oildale Limousine

Since Rockwell of Trout's is involved, and Mark Yeary, formerly of Merle Haggard and the Strangers, this represents a 2nd and 3rd generation Bakersfield Sound collaboration.
In case you missed my interview with Brian, here it is again. The final mix should be ready for release early next week. I should have a sample of the song soon as well.
In the meantime, pictured here is Brian Benson, with a copy of an early mix of the song, and a couple views of the actual limo that inspired me to write the song. And, of course, here are those lyrics:
Oildale Limousine
words and music by Dr BLT © 2009 Nu Bako Sound Recordings
I'd like to take a big long ride
in that Oildale limousine
that would be my lifelong dream
to ride that limousine
lots of hillbilly champayne
moonshine brewed on Oildale plains
all these bottles I'll redeem
to ride that limousine
Chorus:
Oildale limousine
ride to Trout's and back
fulfill all your dreams
Oildale limousine
all my Oildale friends fit in
leather seats
it ain't no sin
just like a shake with real whip cream
ride that limousine
(chorus)
I don't care for Hollywood
or them fancy Nashville streets
I'll be king
and you'll be my queen
we're gonna ride that limo
ride that limousine
let's ride
(instrumental solo; chorus and repeat)

Great lyrics! Don't forget to pack me in that limo with the rest of my o-eighter friends from the Riverview baseball field of dreams.

Hey, where there's a will, there's a way. We'll find a way to get the whole team and the whole team's groupies in. LOL.

The only groupies goin' in that Limo will be our wives.
God Bless America!
