BSU Welcome's Mike and Amanda to the Streets of Bakersfield

That's right, and once Mike and Amanda have walked on The Streets of Bakersfield, (the streets Homer Joy put on the map with a little help from his friends, Buck Owens and Dwight Yoakam), those streets should never be washed again.  If I were the mayor, I would give them the key to the city, because these co-hosts and their radio show, Bakersfield and Beyond, have been the best thing to happen to the Bakersfield sound since Cousin Herb Henson's Trading Post. 

So if you meet them, greet them, and show them that old Bakersfield hospitality that this town is known for.  Since one of their stops will be the Crystal Palace, the place where Buck used to play, I thought I would dedicate this song to them, in honor of their arrival:
