The Making of White Lies about White Guys

Enough of that, I'm getting infamously sidetracked...
Here are the lyrics to
White Lies about White Guys
words and music by Dr BLT © 2009
I know you've bin listenin' to them white lies
told about them guys I call my friends
our knuckles drag and we shop at Home Depot
tell me when will those white lies ever end
chorus:
white lies about white guys
we can't dance
we can only spit and chew
we get all the jobs and take advantage
of minorities who've paid their dues
we never cry
we just hold all our tears in
we look at women only in one way
sex objects
ornaments that we can toss out
toys in our grand
white guy type of game
(chorus)
it might be true in some cases
some white guys have eggs
upon their faces
but we're not all the same
some dance and jump
so don't stick us together in one lump
(instrumental solo; chorus)
...so drop your bias
make friends with a white guy
don't go tellin' white lies
'bout white dudes

I can’t confess to know what it feels like to be a White guy…
Neither do I know what it feels like to be a Black dude.
But like the Michael Jackson song ….
To make a difference if you are Black or White, is wrong…
Sad but true, there is a difference….
Rather one is Black or White…
Oft each one dances to a different tune…
Grooves to a different grove…
The feet move to a different beat…
Life offers different challenges, and
Perspectives forever change….
Each one’s reality does not the same remain….
But what is amazing and,yet true…
Everyone feels pain and…
Everyone bleeds the same.

killer concept. I have some similiar lyrics titled "white stereotype" about how being a white male in america makes you an assumed villian of sorts. personally my ancestory comes from Germany and Italy so even if I where assumed to be guilty by association of past atrocities on non-whites then that would be wrong too. Italian immigrants like my great grandfather Leonardo Palermo were treated with bigotry and racism as mush as any other race.
Disclaimer:
now my lyrics are a little more controversial and may be taken in the wrong way, hopefully not but that is the chance I am willing to take as I also prove to myself that I do not have a compliant personality. anyways, the lyrics are supposed to be sarcastic, saying these are the things white men are stereotyped as and it is not true of all white men. many white men and women came to fight hypocrisy at the frontlines of the civil rights movement and faced scathing criticism, beatings and some were even murdered. that’s all I’m saying. I don’t want to be the villain because of what some primitive thinking white dude did in the past. PEACE!
White Stereotype
I’ve got no rhythm, I’ve got no rhyme
All I wanna do is commit a hate crime
I’m the imperial grand wizard of the KKK
I’m the dude who shot ole Jam Master J
I’m the one who got Cobey and OJ framed
I did all that shit so they’d get blamed
But I can’t take the credit for Obama
And the LA riots and all of that drama
But I did watch Rodney king get beat
And think to myself “gee that’s neat”
I love seeing blacks gettin harassed
Its totally awesome dude, it’s a blast
I’m that clerk hawkin you at the store
And the cop waitin by the front door
Gonna shake ya down for stolen goods
We know you homeys aint nothin but hoods
I cant break dance or do the moon walk
I gotta high, nerdy voice when I talk
I clench my ass and walk like a stiff
You can call me Chad, Bret, Chip or Biff
My parents are rich and they voted for Bush
So I don’t smoke blunts full of OG Kush
I’m Archie Bunker and David Duke
Your fat back and collar greens make me puke
I got schooled by Vanilla Ice
And I was the white guy on Miami Vice
I’m the cracka masta plantation overseer
Watch which way your chuckin that spear
I make all the money and I’m winnin the race
Singing “oh mammy”, wearin a black face
Yeah, I stole the soul of the black man
And named my band the Wu Klux Klan
Cuz Imma white stereotype
It’s alright to put me down
I’m no Wesley Snipes
Getting dissed by Homey the clown
I’m no fitty cent
I’m not even a dime
I rap like a cracker
Yo check out my rhyme
I’m the white stereotype
Call me Conrad Kramer
I don’t know no Dolomite
I’m whiter than Corey Haimer
I’m no Devo McBride
I’m not even a Rich Henry
I’m the whitest of the white
Just call me Reggie Denny

there will be people who will attempt to discourage us but we can look past that to a bigger better picture, to a day when every thing is killer and everyone rules. Totally!

In response to Dr. BLT and Conrad:
I don't think it's so much that people actually engage in reverse-racism against white males; those over-the-top stereotypes that white men are "evil" or "totally inept/ludicrous" don't really impact white men's lives the way real racism/discrimination has affected other groups of people (in terms of their safety, life opportunities, self-esteem, etc.).
I don't know if you've heard or read any of the works of Tim Wise, but I've found his commentaries to be very illuminating about the deeply-ingrained societal construct of "white privilege." His point is that so much of our culture's racism is subtle and built-in, that we often fail to see it.
Here is his site: http://www.timwise.org/, and another site that he contributes to: http://www.redroom.com/author/tim-wise. Here's a 28-minute clip from his "On White Privilege" presentation: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7677528555527674049. I saw the entire hour-long video elsewhere, and would recommend it to anyone interested in exploring this topic.

I guess it is all in the eye of the beholder. Call it want you want (how about reverse bigotry). White people who sit in their ivory towers and have never really been around to many people of other races, especially not outside their social economic demographic, need to experience some of the experiences I’ve experienced (The Jimi Hendrix Experience) before they can legitimately deny the existence of reverse racism. Firstly, I was never privileged because of my white skin; my ancestors came from Europe and were poor migrant workers (pig farmers/ other types of farm work). I grew up poor and at one point was on the free lunch program at school (welfare). My father was an abusive drug dealer and thief (sociopath), and my mother just didn’t seem to give a shit either way. Because of my dysfunctional upbringing (and PTSD from seeing my little brother get hit by a car) I embroiled myself in a life of self destructive behaviors, which I am lucky to have lived through. I have been homeless, I have gone hungry, and I have lived and seen things you would not believe (BAD THINGS). The point of my candidness is to point out that because I am white it does not mean I have had a life of privilege or have benefited from it in any way. Now, about the reverse racism I have experienced; being at the wrong place at the wrong time and being a white boy has introduced me to reverse racism many times (harassed, assaulted, aka, jumped), but it was when I asked a coworker and friend one time if she was a racist and she honestly and casually said yes that it really sunk in that Caucasians are the most popularly hated race. Now, as much as I don’t like it, I do understand why these feelings of hate exist towards the white man, we all know the history of white hate mongers in this country, but like the man said “I aint the one”. There is much more that needs to be said for me to really get my point across but the important thing to look at is hate is ugly no matter who it is directed towards, even if it is the supposed privileged race. It is completely absurd to assume in this day and age that your skin color will automatically designate your status in American society; it’s all what YOU make of it. Hey man, I was so hungry I tried to eat canned cat food one time, but now I’m in college on my way to having a BA in psychology, so I know that it’s not skin color that gets you places in this unfair world, it’s tenacity and the desire to be better ( Alfred Adler’s drive theories). I am white and sometimes I have racist thoughts and feelings just like everybody else (it’s natural), what bothers me is when people are in denial of their own racist thoughts and feelings and can not come to terms with them, which I believe if they are recognized and not just ignored then maybe the feelings will not be so powerful. also Lenny Bruce...
