When I Grow Up I Wanna Be a Carpenter


When I look back at all of the artists of the Bakersfield sound era and when I study the music of modern artists that built upon that sound, it is hard to identify just one artist that I would like to walk in the footsteps of.  However, what seems to be true, especially for the artists of yore, is that each came to the point in his/her spiritual journey when their music they were building began to be influenced by the master carpenter.  This master carpenter is the subject of the song featured hear today, a song from my CD, The Truth Hurts.  I'll try to add the lyrics a bit later, but here is an audio sample, and a link to the Dr. BLT CD, The Truth Hurts:
