Flock Watchin': Rockin' Tommy Isbell joins me to record our next Christmas CD
Well, if you've been paying attention to the rumors about the prospect of Tommy Isbell returning to the studio to work with me on our next Christmas CD, it's time for you to trade your rumors in for truth (unless of course they are one and the same).
Last night was the historical occasion. On Thursday, September 18, Rockin' Tommy Isbell (pictured here at that very session in the BuckarooM), joined me to begin working on that very second Christmas CD, tentatively
entitled Flock Watchin'. Like Certified Incense, Gold and Myrrh, released last Christmas, this CD will be filled with rock, R&B, experimental and Kern County Country (aka Krock aka AmeriKERNa). Tommy plays one rhythm guitar track and also plays lead guitar and bass on the track featured today.
I'm hoping to also get my buddy, Hank Ray involved with some of the country numbers. Here's a sample of the title track. Stay tuned at www.drblt.net for more on the CD:
