New from Trout's Tall Tales: If I Lived Next Door 2 Trout's

If you've just wandered underground, lured by Trout's bait I've planted in various other sites, and you're new to the underground, I'd like to welcome you.

I'd also like to introduce my imaginary next door neighbor---------Trout's.  I think I'll introduce my imaginary next door neighbor in the form of a song, my brand new song, written and recorded first thing this morning in the BuckarooM.  It's from one of my forthcoming CDs, Trout's Tall Tales.  Coming soon at:

Dr BLT web site

Without further ado, this is:

If I lived next door to Trout's
I wouldn't miss a thing
If I lived next door to Trout's
I'd have a place to sing
I wouldn't bitch about
the price of gasoline
I'd always have a place to drink
every time my boss was mean

If I lived next door to Trout's
I wouldn't miss a beat
I'd listen to Red Simpson sing
'bout those trucks parked on my street
I'd find a girl and settle down
they'd look better with each drink
if I lived next door to Trout's
I wouldn't need a shrink

chorus:
it's my home away from home
but I wanna move next door
If I lived next door to Trout's
I'd be comin' back for more
I could learn to do the 2-step
I could hear my favorite bands
If I lived next door to Trout's
I would be a happy man

If I lived next door to Trout's
I would quit my 9 to 5
'cause there's no time for work
when it's always party time
I would get so strong and buffed
doin' all those 12 ounce curls
I'd hang out with the boys
I'd dance with all them girls
(chorus)

Don't forget to walk down the street to The Long Branch Saloon. They only have music from a jukebox, but the lady bartender will call you "Hun" (Honey). It is the longest bar in Kern county.

    Great picture and lyrics!
