Growin' a Garden of Sound

Dear Bakersfield Sound fans:
I hope you've athered your hoes, your shovels, your work gloves, your garden hats,
and all of your garden tools. Most of all, I hope you've gathered your seeds. The time has arrived to begin planting our very own Bakersfield Sound garden.
I'm going to help you plant this post-Bakersfield-Sound-garden. These are the seeds I will be using:
mentoring seeds: Mentoring, in my opinion, involving active "players" from the old Bakersfield Sound era passing it forward, or passing on their skills to a new generation.
collaboration seeds: Nobody can't plant this garden on his/her own. It takes something called collaboration. Together, we can carve out a new song from the old-----one that remains true to the old while adding something new and unique.
seeds of support: We can't plant this garden without the support of the community, so each of us will be earnestly seeking just that.
seeds of appreciation for the past: There is no future without such an appreciation for history, and for what came before us. So let's embrace the past while reaching for the future.
seeds of experimentation: In music, there's really no such thing as a bad experiment, as long as lessons are learned and applied to the nu sound.
bridge-building seeds: We must all work together to break down generational barriers that would fix the past permanently in the past.
If you have any other seeds that you believe would grow well in our garden, plant them in the comments section below. This is the song I wrote to get you in the mood for planting:
