Vote for either Dr BLT's BuckarooM Mix or Nick Forcilo's mix on Walls of Sound

Nick is a pro. He's been doing this for years. Nick Forcilo, who took over what was Fat Tracks (formerly the place Buck Owens transformed from a movie theater to his own studio), and made it Pig Studio. He's very good at what he does. But in the case of The Buck Owens Farewell Session, the CD that includes both his mixes and, as bonus tracks, the original BuckarooM mixes, I prefer some of my own. I'm no engineer. I do what I can to mix my own stuff at my own home studio, the one I call the BuckarooM.
So, now, I turn it over to you, the public, for a reality check. Listen to 2 mixes of the same song here (you can write reviews here too):
Walls of Sound (two mixes) from the Farewell Session
and let me know which one you like best. Thanks for tuning in!

Hello Bruce,
Each mix is good in its own way. Since the original was only meant to include guitar and vocal, then that's what's there, and it's expertly crafted... a fine balance of the two instruments (guitar and voice). Your Buckaroom version deftly enhances the work with its "spaghetti western" whistling and echo vocals. I can tell you had fun with this. It's the version I prefer, simply because it brings out the full potential of the song. Maybe a little tambourine would work as well (wink). So then, I would call the Nick Furtado mix the "archival version" that should be heard for its historical significance, and yours is the "full version." I could even see a third version that starts with the straight acoustic, then kicks in with your added effects.
