Reflections on last night's CD release party

The CD release of The Buck Owens Studios Farewell Session went on without a hitch.  The attendees (I wouldn't exactly call them a crowd) seemed very enthusiastic, often moving to the music (one gentleman was busted breaking out into a very unique dance), and they didn't seem to experience channel 17's news coverage as an interruption, but, rather, as something else to focus their attention on.

I want to thank all who attended for lending their support.

I want to thank Walter Stormont for providing percussion, and Hank Ray for lending his support on lead guitar.

I want to thank Channel 17, KGET for showing the interest, coming out, and doing a very nice piece they did on the event, and the CD, on the evening news.

Above all, I want to thank Russo's Books, and Mike Russo, in particular, for being such gracious hosts.  You won't find any local business being as supportive of the local music scene as Russo's.

There will be more CD release parties this summer, in early fall, and in the winter.  Stay tuned here for updates on those.
