Dr.BLT hope you and your wife made it to your destination! Fist time blogging so please excuse me if I don't use blogging etiquette. Great Website by the way!Life and accepting ourselves is just like this assignment its about trying new things. I had a choice of not completing this assignment because I was intimidated by trying soething new.But once again I put my anxiety away and talked myself into "what the heck just do it." I believe ones identity is based on life experiences and the way one interprets the situation. I believe looking to find ones identity is a life long trial and error experienence. I believe ones identity is made up of ones physical, mental and emotional state. I believe for one to accept themselves for who they are as individuals they must first learn to evalute themselves. One must learn what about life situations makes them strong, motivated, what makes one smile, cry, yell.Obviously too much of anything is never good. Which leads me to say the importance of staying balanced. The way I have learned these things are by taking solo trip for some souls searching, spending time with my Nana, god children, husband, and ofcourse God. I have learned to be nice to myself when I'm down and I have also learned to be my BIGGEST Cheerleader. The difficult life experience I faced were challenges that have provided me with will power, motivation, and self care. These challenges were once experiences I was ashamed of. I now embrace the tattoo and scars I have because they remind me of the road I have traveled, the challenges I have faced and the obstacles I have overcame.
