Pre-recorded tracks good news for Bakersfield's Next Buck Talent Contest contestants

For contestants in Bakersfield's Next Buck Talent Contest, there's good news.  They will not be required to provide their own instrumental tracks for their audition songs.  The rhythm guitar, bass, drums, lead guitar, and harmony tracks have been professionally recorded by yours truly, the contest host.

All contestants need to do is to arrange a session with Reggie Langendorfer at Bakersfield School of Music and Recording to lay down a lead vocal track.  While contestants will be responsible for costs associated with their lead vocal track, I've laid down such tracks and had them mixed within 15 minutes, so the expense should be minimal.

If you're interested in this contest, just request a free mp3 copy of the song with my own vocal track added.  You don't have to sound like Buck to win.  You simply have to have skills, coupled with Buck's adventurous spirit and attitude.  You can be male, female, solo, duo or band.  You also have the option of recording your own cover of the song, at your expense.

Submissions are due on June 30th, 2008.

Email me, Dr. BLT if you need more information or would like to submit a contestant profile to be featured at Bakersfield Sound Underground.
