I'm Gonna Kick Yer Gas: Hear this new bakobilly gas price protest song, then discuss your gas kickin' plan

Since coining the term, "bakobilly TM ," there's been mounting pressure on me (mostly coming from within) to define it.  Well, I call it rockabilly with a bite, and it's the kind of stuff that's been emerging out of Bakersfield of late that's been influenced by the attitude and independent sound of Buck Owens, Homer Joy (and others generally associated with the Bakersfield Sound genre) towards Nashville.

This song represents bakobilly with a kick.  It's been newly added to my forthcoming CD, From Buck Owens Boulevard to Merle Haggard Drive, scheduled for release on July 4.  The song is already available as a single here:

Dr BLT's Record Store

Don't feel any pressure to buy the song, but please feel free to use the sample as a springboard to trigger a gas-kickin' plan of your own designed to save yourself gas and make a statement about your objection to the outrageous prices of gasoline and other fuels.   Once you've established that plan, be it riding a horse, riding a bike, writing your congressman, or just rolling down your windows and blasting this song from your car.
