First Underground Buckaholics Anonymous Meeting: B.Y.O.B.
Welcome to the first somewhat semi-annual Buckaholics Anonymous Meeting to be held at Bakersfield Sound Underground--------EVER! What is a Buckaholics Anonymous Meeting? Well, unlike AA, or NA, it's a place where your addiction to Buck Owens, his music, his life and the trivia associated with his legacy is something we embrace rather than something we seek to find a cure from. Today, I'm going to introduce you to the first of 12 steps.
1. Embrace the Buckaholic in you!
The song posted here, is from Confessions of a Buck-a-holic, the Dr BLT CD currently out of stock both in hard copy and in internet copies at my website (we're working on that). The theme song is not out of stock, but the CD is until further notice. It's called, I'm a Buck-a-holic.
I'm going to begin today's meeting by being a role model, and abandoning my denial right from the get go:
Hi, I'm Dr. BLT, and I'm a Buck-a-holic.
There, that wasn't so hard. Now it's your turn. Start your comment by admitting your addiction, then help us embrace ours by sharing a little bit about how you came to be addicted and what you've done to support your habit. We want to support you in your own efforts to support your habit.

I wrote a song about Buck's ghost, I put
flowers on a guitar on the Palace lawn and it was on National news. He sand "MADE IN JAPAN " for my birthday once.
