BAKERSFIELD'S NEXT BUCK contest: addressing the most common questions
 Before I begin to answer some of your questions regarding the contest known as Bakersfield's Next Buck, let me post the official announcement of the contest, since it has never been posted here. BAKERSFIELD'S NEXT BUCK: Official Announcement Are you Bakersfield's next Buck? If you think you could be the next Buck Owens, write and request an mp3 copy of the audition song that all contestants will be covering for the sake of the contest. If You Wanna Be the Next Buck Owens, written and recorded by yours truly, is that song, and, upon your request, I'll email you a copy, along with an instrumental copy for you to practice with: drblt@drblt.net The only other thing you have to do besides sending in your cover of the song, is to tell us all, in 200 words or less, why you should be Bakersfield's Next Buck in the comments section below. The deadline for the contest has been extended to 2008. The winner, and maybe a runner up or two, will be featured on a special edition of my new
CD, from Buck Owens Blvd. to Merle Haggard Drive in which I hope to pair old-timers and youngsters on some brand new
